Thanks for the advice! I suspect I'll have a tendancy to have too many layers!

I would say most important are boots, when the bike falls on your legs you need protection
knee pads of some sort and if not body Armour at least elbow pads

just be ready to hit the floor sometimes, and it surprising how hot you get out there

Wise choice, one of the essentials I say to get is a hydration pack rucksack prices go anything from a £10 at Tesco right up to £100+

I,d set your self a budget for everything you may need.
Helmet
Boots
knee pads
Body armour
Gloves
Then get the best you cant out of your budget.
This time of year I,d be buying some ex arm gortex waterproofs for about £40
Trousers jackets and tops you can get at a later date when you see something you like/afford.

Mx kit will be fine with base layers & waterproofs.....to stop the wind & your boots filling with water when needed to start Very Happy
Backpack proper needed tho!...Hydro bag NO 1, tools that fit your bike to take a wheel off, link or two to fit your chain & a spare tube if you use em ? Spare plug & plug spanner could be handy too!. Very Happy
Tho! many & all will help out on the trail, most carry spares for KTM or the blue & white look a likes you see these days lol!

I'm loving my 3quid Chinky heated grips. I'm just waiting to see if they set the bike on fire.
