new bike
Hi all
Well after about twelve years of trying to keep my alfer going I've finally given up and decided to get myself a new bike.
So I'm looking for a litter advice. I'm thinking of either a wr450 or husqvarna maybe a crf450x so what do you all think of these bikes?

Re: new bike
Wont go far wrong with either. Buy the best one you can aford regardless of age.
Ive had both alloy and steel framed wr,s the alloy framed on can be a bit tite to work on around the carb.
The only week point i can remenber was the starter make sure its got a good battery and kick start it from cold.

Re: new bike
Was going to try my hardest to stay away from ktm. Always promised myself if I could afford a new bike it would be a ktm but the last few years I've heard and seen a lot of horror story's with them. Have they got the quality back now?shocker wrote:Anything Jap I'd say - but bet you end up with a KTM like almost everyone else!

An advantage of buying a KTM is that you can join in all the 'what's wrong with my bike, and how do I fix it' threads that you feel a bit left out of when owning a Honda

Yep brand new fed up trying to keep old dogs running lol the only reson I was thinking of the 450x was the 0% interest lol had a go of my mate's a few years ago and didn't really got on with it unless I was going flat out felt more crosser tosser than enduro but I think he had some work done on it while it was a supermoto.crm250dude wrote:when you say new - are you buying brand new - as in 0 mileage ?
