I just took Simon up on his offer and popped down to his for a go, what a strange experience! The pro's so outweigh the negatives, but it did feel a bit like cheating. Crawling pace from a standstill in 4th just wasn't an issue, all very strange. If tackling a boggy riverbed, or just long day out, I can see the clutch making everything so much easier.
Coffee was superb too. Thank you so much.
Whilst there, Simon also had a go on my 350 and I think he agree's, its a little ballistic!

according to the video on this site you can use the handlebar brake and foot brake at the same time or individually, and do away with the clutch lever if you've got the rekluse fitted, or keep both levers on, should imagine it would take a bit getting used to
but would come in handy bouncing down a rocky bouncy arse slapping snotty lane

Re: Rekluse clutch?
just for the record - my new (new to me '05) KTM 450 has a rekluse clutch - ive been out on it twice now and im really getting used to it - and it helps immensely... i'm kind of sold on it actually
I like the fact you can get a good full firm grip on the bars and not have to have a few fingers sitting on the clutch lever ready to slip it
i got a back brake in place of the clutch lever - and a foot brake pedal - either or both work
i don't have a way of overriding though - so popping wheelies to order is a bit harder - you have to be in the right gear at the right revs to lift it up
at first i was grabbing the back brake lever and changing gear - but you get used to it - like driving an automatic car - you realise your left leg is redundant

Just be careful firing it up dude, you might think its in neutral give it a quick rev and find yourself laying on the floor wondering what just happened

I learnt that lesson already - also best to kick up into second on easy pull aways to avoid the break neck jolt

How do you disengage the drive in a 50p 5p moment?

Re: Rekluse clutch?
sound like the engagement is set to hard, it should be nice and smooth, unless you like hard engagement that iscrm250dude wrote:I learnt that lesson already - also best to kick up into second on easy pull aways to avoid the break neck jolt
