Barmouth - The Dude Report

Day 1
13 on the ride list - 12 turn up.. seems like Owen had more than 99 problems at home .. shame
Weather said it would piss down but surprisingly dry at the meet point - and i think we kicked off 5 minutes early (just as I was about to light a fag)
The rain eventually caught us - or we caught it ..and like 12 drowned rats we battled on
Joe made the sensible decision after drowning his bike and seeing the fast rivers running to avoid part of Strata ..
we did a lot of road work in the rain and therefore the wind factor chilled us to the bone - I saw more white lines than Daniella Westbrook !!
eventually back on the trails we were more than happy to face anything that would warm us up a bit..
Made it to Barmouth with little incident - Joe wanted to do a little loop before we hit the town .. but a few of the mummy's boys didn't want to play anymore ...
There was talk of "2 beers and bed" - well I wasn't having any of that !!
we didn't come here firm handed to go bed with cocoa and choccys - get down the pub you maggotts
(the idea was to get joe drunk enough to have a lay in and a later start - well that backfired on me )

Usual shananigans down the boozer - took a few beers home and sat up talking shit till 1/2 ish

Day2

Some fecker up at 7am rattling around looking for coffee under my pillow ... he got a few swear words - but all in jest
Seems like my sleep was sound compared to others ...
Lewis had a coffee and when Dave emerged he put a lot of swearwords around the word "snoring" and said ..im going home F*** you
clarky cooked us brekkie and then went and fixed my bike for me - love him (mizzed might be jealous now)
the weather turned out much better than day 1 ..
we kept bumping in to this other motley crew with some wolf looking leader with a crazy look on his face - i think they were lost ?
we came across them when crossing a river - and one of the mugs was standing in the middle telling us what way to go ...
so we got Dave to roost the fuck out of him ...
no real incidents on the way home other than "Magic Mike with the magic bike" showing us how to ride a bike with no petrol

was a pukka trip looking forward to next time
