Sun 26th's (brief) report
Couldn't really go wrong Sun. Weather, lanes and company all good.
But as on any ride there are up's and downs!
Down - Only two (with functioning bikes!) turning up
Up - Turning out to be that only two (with functioning bikes) turned up!!
Down - Country squire type on a big stroppy horse (big enough to feed an army!) demanded we 'shift those bikes' from his path
Up -His eyes lighting up when he saw Graham's KTM and saying 'i've got one of those in the shed' (Or maybe he was pointing at Graham and meant a servant!?)
Down - 32 bloody gates (me 15, Graham 16, Geraint 1)
Up - Getting Geraint to open one of 'em!!
Down - Drowning the CRF then realizing i'd depended on legengary Honda reliability so much that i no longer even carried a plug spanner
Up - A dozen Charley/Ewan look alikes arriving from nowhere with loads of tools
Down - Geraints KDX boiling up on a steep climb
Up - The unflappable Geraint not seeing this as a problem but simply as a chance to have a fag and a sausage roll while it cooled down
Down - Falling off
Up - No one seeing me fall off!
Down - Good weather bringing lot's of walkers/pie munchers/horsey types out
Up - They almost looked happy to see us - and not like they were on community service as they normally do
Down - Meeting a grumpy looking yokel who moaned because his dopey sheep were shy of passing the bikes.
Up - Graham being so amused by the fact that he was happily driving around with a dead and rotten sheep (ex-girlfriend?) in his quad trailer
And the biggest up of all was that no one got hurt or lost, we all had a good day and then getting a top breakfast at 5.30 pm!

Cheers

We'll let you off, as getting a KMX 125 around like that on 'inappropriate tyres' you probably deserved a rest at the gates - 31 (sorry 30) was a lot of rests mind!!
