Last Report for 2014 .
A mate of mine mentioned that he would like to do The Monmouth run as last time we went it was a bit of a disaster owing to various bike failures . We could have gone somewhere else but everyone wanted to go there . I like that area quite a bit as well . So we all met up around 9 a.m. . The temperature was minus 3 C and I knew that it would be fun on the top roads . Icetastic . Even the muddy trails were mainly solid so we had to keep our wits about us . Once we got into the feel of it everything felt good . There was even a big yellow ball in the sky all day . The locals weren't sure what to make of it mind . Tee he ! Guess what ? I took a few piccies as well .
I like the tails around Whitebrook and The Narth .
A bit cold out !
If anyone took a vid of us doing battle with the icy rocks at Lime Kiln it would be brilliant to dub it with the theme tune to Benny Hill .
We did this little water crossing after lunch . All went well with no bike drowning . Crazy Pheel (on the left) was out for the first time in two months due to breaking a leg in two places and was taking it easy .
Oh how I laughed when he thought it would be great to wheelie out of the water , failing to see a small tree that caught his hand guard . Then upon crashing , he couldn't let his throttle off for some time . Never a dull moment with Crazy Pheel !
We took in a multitude of top trails and headed further south .
Daylight was starting to fade so I missed a couple of trails as I wanted to head to Pant Glas . Still time for a couple of good ones .
Mike was having such a blast , he just wouldn't stop grinning . I thought he was grinning , whilst pushing , up some rocky sections !
Crazy Pheel "cleans it" . So did excLee .
We finally made it to Pant Glas in twilight but it got dark within minutes . Only three of us rode up . Good effort to Stoaty and Jay . I won't tell anyone that Pheel bottled it . Mum's the word .
Even though it was pitch black when we got to the top , it was great as I haven't had the chance to go to the trail of much panting during recent visits to this area . So all was good . Top ride with a top bunch , as usual . Here's to 2015 . Happy New Year and peace be with you and your families .

A few miles from Usk yer wee leprechaun . Just down the road from BAE Systems place on the main road . Look out for a parked car and mainly for a traffick cone . Hope that helps .

Was an excellent day, had to do the walk of shame round pant glas, elbows just not up to that after a day's riding, plugged my camera in when I got home only to find out the files were corrupted! Bit annoying would have got Phils wheelie into the tree, never a dull moment with Phil!
