knew that you had a new bike muff but didn't realise you come over to the dark sidemufynman wrote:welcome aboard . wont go wrong with a 350 or a 450 , just moved to a 450 and i feel its easier to ride , more useable power , and no heavier , and would be better for commuting as you can gear them up without losing any oomph . 2 strokes too stinky , riders always moaning about running out of fuel , and if this forum is anything to go by , ridden exclusively by retards

Having thought about it , the 2 stroke comment about retards makes no sense at all . I take it back , but they still do stink !

If your going to commute i would go for a DRZ400 or a Wrf450.
The drz is more road biased out of the two but will handle the off road stuff without any trouble. The S model is more trail/road focussed and is heavy for hard Enduro rides around 140kg. You can get an E model which is lighter and has more grunt. DRZ's also have a key which would be slightly better depending on where your leaving it park whilst in work.
The WRF in my opinion is a much better enduro bike and is lighter than the drz. On the road both of the wrf 450's I've had wanted to wheelie everywhere!
If you were riding just off road then I'd suggest a 250. But having rode my old wrf 250 for around an hour commute, it was painful and only occurred once

The Honda CRM 250 mk3 - not the AR - the MK3 - the best all round 2 stroke money could ever buy
I used it as a daily commute for over a year from Wembley to central london - hour each way ... thrashed the bollox off it - raced all the couriers - had it up on its back wheel at most traffic lights - changed the sprockets and brake pads once ... bought it to wales and ragged it up the mountain and down the valleys - and she's still rocking like status quo !
and she smells - like a proper smoker - eau du rock oil - the ladies love it
