Wyegate 2016
What a day ! 4 of us battled around the 31 odd sections . Had areal laugh . Poor Mel never even turned a wheel , so ended up being Shockers bitch for the day ( hope you weren't diggin into his back too much !) . After the first few sections we all realised that it wasn't going to be a walk in the park . And things got progressively harder for a few hours . Spirits were high though , and we got stuck in , including one massive forest moment where we were all stuck up the side of this hill . Great to see SWTR support , from Wolfy , Chris , Gareth Gates and Gary at the start to Spencer & Geraint along the way , cheers fellas !
These proper trials guys made it look easy , but we did see quite a few pamperas and gas-gas's upside down too . Not sure my tyre was actually a trials tyre , and I can't see me investing in 'Shinko' stocks any time soon .
Joe & Denzil found some interesting ways to fall off , and Steptoe got his second wind after lunch and cleared a few too .
Back to the start by about 5 ish and into the bar for a well earned pint .
Thanks guys for a great day - maybe next year do it again

Re: Wyegate 2016
After a chilly ride to Coleford, met up with the 'boy's' just before the start
Mel's and his KTM 500 looked happy
Until they saw the sort of bike's everyone else was riding
Then it died on the spot not to go again all day
On to the first section, where the advantages of low seats, low pegs, low power outputs, low tyre pressures - and no luggage showed
But they all soon got into it
Four knobbers on a hill - and a family!
Then onto Pant Glas, where to our surprise most people shot straight up, but most photo's too crap to post
HondaMicky had no bother
Out of the SWTR lads attempts Rob won on style and finesse, Denzil on determination and brute force, Joe on wildness
(excuse shit pic's here, but they give the idea)
Rob
Denzil
Joe
And a bit of bike porn courtesy of Crickets beauty
A top day was had by all, wazzing about in the sun hunting for the sections (with Mel perched on the back) drinking tea, arsing about and laughing at some of the antics on show - how could you fail

my camera was absolute bollox !! - great shot of Joe on pant glas there - shame we didnt make it a bit earlier for a bit more of a chinwag - but i needed to wheelspin my van around a field while charlie laughed at me and Geraint while we were stressed out
