changed 168 jet to 165
changed n4d j needle for n4d k. needle clip 2nd notch from top. idle screw 1.5 turns out. idle jet left as 35


Sorry to sound dim, but are these your settings, not et james? and the 165 jet is the main jet?

when i had bike 2014 model it was running shit. I had bike off e t james. Took it back to them & thats how they set it up with them settings. Bike runs great know. Julijam off here set is 2014 up the same and is runs great too. yes 165 is main jet. Hope this helps

Hi Lads, Just to add to this, my 2015 300exc was using a tank of petrol to everybody's half tank, It was proper rubbish to the point of spoiling rides, I know it was being run in but never the less. Everyone on KTMForum.com seems to be going for a 38 Pilot, 165 main Jet & an RM250 needle NECJ, second clip from top (pt no: 13383 37FE0) with the air screw at 1.75 turns out, this is supposed to be the best you can get it, Big Orky did his the other week & is so said smack on and very noticeable in crispness, fuel & pretty much everything else, I will be doing mine the same when I get back home. hope this helps someone.

Would thos setup or very similar be anygood on a 2014 gasser ec300.

Running jd jet kit currently.

40 pilot
blue needle 4th clip
180 main
A/S 1 3/4 out.

Yup set mine the same and its purrrrrfet. You can over complicate carb setup as you probably know mogs after the thread on the ktm forum....about 35 pages long lol!
