Re: Registering a non reg bike
Hi Skip, next step is MOT time. I'm good friends with the station up the Garn, always took it there up till now but a friend of mine I used to work with is the workshop manager at Honda Thunderroad Cwmbran.....decision time lol
Thing is the XR has a new barell, piston etc and she hasn't been run in yet and if I haven't done that before MOT time I dont want some knob trying to start her and have the engine running unnecessarily (I started her up for the last MOT at the Garn station as the chap was kicking and kicking :pale: )
On the other hand at Honda Thunderroad they keep you outside the workshop even though I know the manager there

Thunder road what a useless bunch of cowboys.
Had new tyres fitted on for the Rd Friday a simple enough job you would think...
Muppet's put the front tyre on the rear wheel and the rear tyre on the front wheel even in the wrong direction.
and that was just the start of it

That's not very good Cap, you'd think they'd know....makes you wonder who they employ. Ironically I applied for a job there some ways back and didn't get a lookin even with my bit of maechanical experience lol
If I go down there I think I'm gonna speak to my m8 first and confirm whether he'll make an exception and let me start the XR so they can check the lights (all that's needed with the engine running) and don't do something stupid.

They'd look even better with orangey coloured fork guards but I can't find any. To be honest I did the USD route because they're stiffer....they are for the 1991 CR125.
