Rhys Morgan - Introduction

Hi Guys,

Rhys here, I live in Glascoed just to the west of Usk.

I have been road riding for about 12 years and more recently some 'freestyle' motocross riding ( In the garden, but I only have around 8 acres to play with ).

I have a few of 'off-road' motorbikes:

• RM85 currently needs a rebuild

• CRF250R

• KTM Freeride-E (Electric)

• My newest addition - CRF250XRL

with the last 2 being road legal.

And a Yamaha Diversion XJ6 and R6 for on road fun ;-)

I am looking for some places to ride in a more off-road format, be that green lanes or places where you have to pay for entry.

Hoping to learn about some areas in the south wales area and attend some of the ride outs and maybe learn a thing or 2

How long does the battery last in the E-freeride ?

Hi CRM250dude,

Depends on riding style really, road riding flat out it lasts ~1hr. Typical trail/motocross riding ~1hr 45.

Charges back to 80% within 40 minutes though so not too bad.

Welcome Rhys, All you will get with this lot is great rides, great trips, great lads & lasses.

As the name suggests I got a Honda CRM250 (1995) - but she's in semi retirement..

I ended up following the herd and went Orange in the end - got a KTM 450 exc - which i go out on most weekends ... and a road bike BMW 650gs Dakar

would love to see the E freeride up and running ...

You are more than welcome to have a crack at it, I've got a spare power pack coming in 2 weeks and another 2 bikes coming in the next 2 months.

A Zero DSR and Zero FX, I've gone a little bit Electric vehicle crazy, love the torque.

I was looking at the KTM when i got the CRF250XRL, only reason I went Honda is that I was trading in a stupid impulse buy of a brand new NC750x DCT.. Paid almost 10k in total with all the add-ons, did 60 miles and hated it, the only way to retain a trade in value of >50% was to trade with who I bought it from and they are Honda and Suzuki dealers :/

Looks like we got another rich kid - there are quite a few on the site

I'm just a poor travel agent - i get my stuff off ebay and from china

If i ever lost 5k on a bike I think i'd be suicidal... I cant bring myself to sell my Dakar as I would probably lose £500 on it
