Rhondda Boys Supermoto blast
Started off from mine at 9:45 myself(XR650r), nucking futs(xr650r),KTMJON(DRZ400SM), Wayne(KTM 690SMR).
Headed over the Aberdare mountain for fuel and then onto the Hirwaun roundabout to meet Steve(Dominator).
After a quick cigar, oh and some random guy coming and giving Ryan a brand new seat cover for his KTM, we headed off over to the breacon road and a cup of tea to try and lighten Nuckinfuts terrible mood, doesn't like morning that one!
Stopped on the first right hander after the cattle grid on the common watching some guys blasting past on superbikes - idiots!
From there we took some nice little lanes heading towards Llandovery -quick stop here as Ryan had shat himself trying to keep up with the pace of Wayne and myself through the first lane and layed a 25m line of rubber down the road
After arounnd 10 miles the red mist descended on Ryan and off he set trying to keep up with Wayne. It was at this time that Jon pulled me over, thought something was wrong but no he just needed a cigar fix and to take in his surroundings
We pressed on from Llandovery towards Lampeter. It was somewhere during this stretch that Steve's dominator decided to mimic a BP oil rig and share its oil with his rear tyre, sump plug had come loose and ended Steve's day. We were oblivious to this until we reached a nice little cafe in Lampeter where a hearty brunch was enjoyed by all with the stories of hom Nuckin was going to burn his bike due to the hot start issues that had caused a hole in his boots!
After this we all headed off towards Aberystwyth, through some lovely twisties where we snook up on by some guys on superbikes. Wayne was not having any of this and after giving them a bit of a gap we all set off hunting them down. After abiut 5 miles we had picked everyone of them off, my knuckles were white by the time their lead rider on an Aprilla RSV pulled over at a jumction and put his hands up in the air in surrender! What a 20 mins that was!
We got to Aberystwyth and parked on the sea front with the other bikers to enjoy an ice cream and a cup of tea, to steady my shaking hands!
From there we headed off home via devils Bridge and stopped at a quarry marked as an SSI, looked like the aftermath of world war 3 like something out of Mad Max
On from there we went around some reservoirs and off to see Selwyn in ET James in Rhyader. A quick fuel stop on to Builth then Breacon and then we parted ways at the bottom of the Hirwaun roundabout. Got home at 7:20. Covered 364km and had a great day with even better company.
Sorry if the place names were incorrect as I was being led and half of the time did not know where the hell I was!
