Oh yes on that note.....there was a wire trapped between the tank & frame on Jason's bike (rubbed through) lucky he spotted it soon as he took the tank off turned out a quick fix

I told him to take the tank off on the road, and check the cdi unit, shame he didnt listen Could have joined in on the last abomination of a track

He probably thought the same as me "how can you check the cdi unit" its a sealed box like

Very true, but the essential spade connectors to it, trapped & stripped wires and the such!

Ive been thinking it maybe worth getting a list of the fault codes and laminating it to keep with you.
Then if the light starts winking at you you,l have an idea what its winking about.
But probably thinking about it is as fair as I,l get with it

I guess so mizzed, but with 8 bikers calling different reason's & between us all we couldn't even get the plug out......   think we were flogging a dead horse at that moment

Biggest issue was that not one of us had a hammer...

Regarding those warning lights , I found this little tool on Ebay , that you can plug in to your ECU and when standing around with a group of blokes chatting about how to fix a bike , it can pickup the noise vibrations and convert them into an analogue readout....
