Not sure 3 household downlights would be 100% road legal eitherphil990 wrote:JTM525 wrote:Might be better off modifying one of these

Re: 12 volt lights
Joss, This is my suggestion, but it means spending a little more (I know you are crying now at this point already), Buy an Acerbis Head Light, remove the 2 existing candles in jam jars & fit 2 of your cree led lights (they will fit straight in), get a hole cutter (mind your fingers) & fit the other 1 in the middle above the other 2, (remember the set up I had on my blade as a street fighter)(without mentioning the chip shop window),,anyway, the 2 will face directly ahead giving you a good beam & the 3rd being slightly angled up will give you a better over view, or wait 4-5 days & i'll help you.

Re: 12 volt lights
I was thinking about replacing the standard Husky headlight but not the number plate with something to hold the three spot lights. Two at normal height for main beam and one lower for dip.
However there is no cut off for dip so it would still blind on coming traffic.
Then I thought I would prefer to keep the standard head light for road work. I already have an extra light on the front...
I am now thinking I want to fit the spot lights to my helmet...
