Re: First enduro
take your time on your first enduro..... dont do what i did & try & got like a bat out of hell as you WILL ! ger hurt as i did, twice on the first lap! i spent the following week off work with a very sore neck, it didnt help me rushing & getting stuck twice lol
a mate done the same & broke his ankle half way through the enduro
both still finished the event though
here is the first 3 laps

Re: First enduro
think you need to distinguish between the definition of a real ENDURO and HARE & HOUNDS.
ENDURO (or better known as TIMECARD ENDURO's long (eg 20 to 50 mile) single or 2 lap event normally for sportman/novice where you have to get to checks within a designated time, (you must not arrive early or late but go through the check on your designated minute; within the lap there will be one or more special tests which you ride as quickly as possible (and totally out of control lol) and these are timed to the second which basically decides your finish place if everyone stays on their designated minute.
HARE & HOUNDS (eg short 4 to 8 mile) basically mass start within your group (like motorcross) and do has many laps as you can within the alloted time. (normally 2.5 hours or 3 hours with some clubs) You sometimes can get away with doing the full race without a stop (depends on your tank capacity) most people do one stop for a few minutes to refuel then back out asap.
Know what you entering and see if the regs say suitable for sportsmen etc (would not want to see you in a BRTISH ROUND for you first event....lol
Hope this helps bud
