2 stroke exhaust system help
is it as simple as bolting one on, or do you need to mess with engine tuning aswell?
looking at a fmf system to give more power.
cheers

Re: 2 stroke exhaust system help
Moggs, they pretty much bolt straight on & give more power out of the box.
Having a free'er flowing pipe will let you bang in a bigger main jet, for more top end, but you don't have to if you think it's already fast enough

ogri made a good point there moggs, be careful you don't turn a good bike into a drag bike , just keep changing up the gears ........it will be fast as it is.

Re: 2 stroke exhaust system help
just like the look more than anything.... im into my bling!!!
I havnt really had the chance to open it up yet... due to the snow and that on the weekend.
Taking a bit to get used to... doesn't seem to be as planted to the ground as much as my 450... open it up abit and it seems to be everywhere, did abit of greenlaning around monkswood Sunday.. rocky old stream beds and that so didnt help in terms of it bouncing about. Front feels alot more twitchy than my 450..alot more responsive.
So in terms of the bikes performance... too early to say really. Hopefully be able to get out on it sunday.. on more of a 'open' ride to be able to fully feel the power.

Re: 2 stroke exhaust system help
Should see a difference in the lanestoo Moggs, especially on the stoney, slippery stuff, no engine braking so just glides over like a pushbike, safer if u ask me fella and can be quicker as your not on and off the throttle dipping and diving, just on and on the throttle !!!!

Re: 2 stroke exhaust system help
yes skipp your right...
with no real engine braking it does stop the rear sliding when slowing down on the wet stuff... which does catch you out sometimes unexpectedly.
fixed yours yet?

Re: 2 stroke exhaust system help
Clutch hose ordered saturday afternoon, just waiting on the post...hopefully tomorrow bud....
Yeh, you'll notice the front doesnt dive when u come off the throttle so the slippery stuff around the caerleon/cwmbran lanes are easier to glide through.
