garrys & grahams easy peesy popsy ride
met up with a few of the guys at Glasbury for yesterdays ride, a place i,d never heard of until a few weeks earlier.
left the car park and headed off for the first of the easy peesy lanes as graham had said so for a change was looking forward to what i was expecting to be a nice relaxing day zig zaging in and out on the England border.
weather was dull damp and mist
the complete opposite to what had been forecast
the first lanes were as i was expecting like graham had said were nothing much more than over grown gravel roads.
but soon after there was mud in site and the first of a few off,s from gearint and shepy the sweats soon starting to flow after only half hour in
soon after the lanes started open out as we climbed higher in the mountains weather was also getting better.
shortly after these photos Garry said he,l take a few photos of the next bits for a change (think this was part of his master plan)
graham about to take a shower
shepy taking a shower
the next bit i comes around a corner to see Garry standing there with the camera pointing towards some water.
now seeing as its my first ride out with him and he did seem a tidy enough chap i thought well the water cant be that deep then? other wise he would be directing us around it.
so thinking he was just after a could photo i decide to hit it with a bit of speed...
could feel my waterproof socks filling with water
around this time i was thinking right get me to a road and its a RAC job
here i was thinking right en its a call to the warranty people again thinking of what i could say
the following photo's are of course very rare as they show the mighty yam getting some first aid. with a case of will it or wont it...
but i needn't have worried this was the mighty yam not a water shy orange thing quick drain of the carb rinse of the air filter and its away
from here on the lanes started to get shall we say interesting with shepy on his 2nd can of relentless.
photos dont do any justice has to how fun these lanes were ask shepy
time for a refuel and a quick bite to eat before the going gets real fun
it was around this time when shepy came out with (guys the backsides fallen out of me now)
interesting byway should be called a boat-way!
nice looking house going to waste.
what better way to end the day than a full breakfast at 6pm was still loads more left to do but i think shepy would have died on the spot
great day out has me thinking at some points why to the English want to come to wales when they have lanes like these.

Brill day's riding. Big thanks to Gary & Graham for being organised types.
There was all sorts of terrain and a good day was had by all (Although Shepy did struggle bit due to a complete lack of sleep....)
That WR definitely wins the award for best submersible trail bike - That was a seriously deep puddle !
Nice to get back to the muddy/slippery stuff after the dusty summer period.
Cracking report & pics as usual steve.
Thanks to all for making it a cracking day.
Cheers
Dean

Re: garrys & grahams easy peesy popsy ride
That report and pic's started me laughing almost as much as i did yesterday!
I pissed myself laughing all day especially, at the look of disbelief on Steves face when he realized how deep that 'puddle' was, and the look on Shepy's when he found that not only has he got a tyre that gave no grip whatsoever, but was also such a rock hard compound he would be stuck with it forever!!
I was invited by Steve down to South Wales for a da,y which i though might be very pleasant until it was followed by ''then i can fucking bury you in Merthyr woods!''
Can i think about that one???
Cheers chaps for a cracking day
