recently learned something interesting about himself. His family was sitting around discussing their old scars, and then this happened:
E: "...and of course, I have that hernia scar from when I was four."
e's mom: "Oh yes, when we had your testicle taken out."
e: "What?"
e's mom: "Oh, I never told you?"
e: "Told me what?"
e's mom: "While they were fixing your hernia, the doctors found out you had an extra testicle. So I had it removed."
e: [long pause] "Oh."
And so, e learned that he was born with a condition known as polyorchidism, the possession of an extra testicle. It is an extremely rare phenomenon, literally one in a million-or, if you prefer, three in two million and one. But thanks to the timely intervention of modern medicine, R was rescued from his heinous third ball, and thus was permitted membership in the dominant, two-testicled caste.
How do i feel, now that i know about his altered state? Actually, he's kind of annoyed. He was already annoyed that his parents had him circumcised-something he still feels ripped off about. Now, at the age of 27, he has learned that his parents also did some editing in his flesh purse. Which irritates him even more.
Why did his parents consent to the removal of ball number three? Firstly, the doctors were "concerned about unforeseeable complications," which is of course the enlightened medical reaction to anything slightly out of the ordinary. And secondly, e's mom was concerned that he might have felt awkward when he grew up and became sexually active.
Now, I can see that e might have had some explaining to do in the sack. But I really don't think his girlfriends would have cared. Indeed, the kind of women e dates would have been as delighted about the third ball as . You see, is the kind of guy who would relish being a bit of a mutant. If he had his way, he would have kept the extra gonad until he had a good reason to remove it.
