2005 ktm 450 exc
Road legal, full logbook
Mot’d around 10 months left

Purchased the bike around 2 years ago in full supermoto trim.
I sold the supermoto wheels and put it back to mx wheels.

The speedo, lights, wiring and switches had all been removed due to supermoto use.
I’ve fitted a head light, rear light and new switch gear. Head light works but rear light requires the loom, which I intend to purchase.

The bike was serviced 1 ride ago, with new oil, filters, o ring chain, rear sprocket, clutch fibres and case gasket.
Valve clearances have been checked along with the crankshaft “death rattle” nut and all correct.

Recent new battery and lower shock bush. Swingarm bearings greased.
New side stand included and any spares in the garage, plastics, filters etc

Bike starts, runs and rides without fault. Never given me any issues.

Selling as I’m looking to upgrade to a newer 2 stroke enduro.

Price is firm at £1750 which I think is good value for a 2005 450 exc.
Priced to reflect lack of speedo. Would take a part ex on a 2 stroke enduro.

If lights are fitted at the time of test they must be working.

I had the bike tested for daylight hours, which only requires a horn, plate and reflector.

Just states on mot test sheet “no lights fitted at time of test”

Ok thats handy to know, always thought a daylight mot was just minus the headlight.

& if they are fitted but dont work, just tape them up & that gets stated on paper as a daytime MOT too, I'm sure ?

Yeah you can just tape the lights up.

A bike with a daytime mot should only be used on the road in clear visible conditions. If it was hammering down with rain and foggy then really it shouldn’t be used.

I only mot’d without lights as I had no intention to sell it earlier in the year and only a handful of times I’ve ridden the last few years where I’ve got home late enough to need a light. Last few outings I’ve been going to pay n play farms
