Chain link splitter
Can anybody recommend a chain link splitter and riveter?
Preferably one that does not recommend grinding the head of the rivet off first? Kind of defeats the object of needing an extractor in the first place me thinks...

Re: Chain link splitter
I picked up a generic one in M&P, was on offer around £25-30.
I’ve used it a good number of times on trials bikes, the enduros and road bike chains. Used it to take links out without grinding the head off, without issue.

This one I’ve got. Says in advert about grinding heads off but I’ve never needed too.

YouTube how it works if you’ve never used one.
The instructions in my one were crap, but found a good video using the exact one.
