Clarkys 150 mile winter marathon ride

Well I won't forget this ride for a while . Trail riders in 20 years time will tell tales around campfires of the fabled Clarky ice ride , something akin to Scott of the Antarctic crossed with Death Wish VII . got a few pics but  this was us at lunchtime ..

Garage closes at 1.30 and minimum spend of £10 cash, £20 card..... if the first fuel stop had fuel we wouldnt of needed to go there

I think everyone struggled for traction ALL DAY LONG, Joe even went down on the tarmac and holed his new kit, black ice everywhere, even green ice on the grass

No disrespect sounds like it was a giggle (a proper adventure) that garage has always been hit & miss, when its cold most birds head south to feed.

Will never forget turning up at that garage on a Saturday to find it shut, and a car full of deaf people miming how pissed off they were about it!

It was the Llanwrthyl Garage - (Vulcan Arms) on the main A470 that started the ball rolling - no fuel there, normally the cafe is open, the spar shop and the garage - today no cafe and no fuel....
