Woes in the Wye
Glorious crisp morning as we met up in Redbrook , all full of beans . Mizzed was sporting his new Wham boots
Things got warmed up nicely as we found a few choice bits to explore
Pete however got 20 mins into ride and then his clutch called it a day - so had to limp home
We chugged on , getting to Tintern for a nice coffee and sarnie in the sunshine
Then it was a straightforward whump up Limekiln and Pantglas , with a bit of exploring too
Dropped into Monmouth for a quick top up , which proved to be anything but quick - with Wolfys son filling his bike up to the brim with DIESEL ( like father like son )
Much piss taking ensued , with even random van drivers stopping to have a good guffaw at Mel trying to shake all the V Power out of his tank . New spark plug , and some of Owens fuel later , she still wouldnt start , so it was back to vans which luckily werent too far away .
I'm thinking Mel did it on purpose cos it was getting cold and rainy , and he saw a quick way to jib himself home
Anyway , it was a great day out , cheers for the company fellas

Re: Woes in the Wye
Oh shit I forgot to pick him up! probably dead by now! Oh well never mind
Cracking day Rob! Really enjoyed it! Cheers Shame we lost Pete early on due to ktm jibbing troubles
Was funny going through Mel's bike then someone laughably suggesting he'd put diesel in and it turned out he had
But " hey that's trail riding" as his dad would say
Day started with Rob getting the smallest man purse in the world out to pay for his parking
Then he proceed to crash on a log that was blocking the track, unfortunately didn't manage to catch him lying down on that pile of sticks
Nice little hill climb
Then on to bit of the regulars where Mel proceeded to entertain
Then Owen decided to throw his BigRed away
Then onwards where a tree root made a grab for Rob's pannier and he got completely hung up but luckily the big strong farmer was on hand to help
I wonder how many more rides are left in this tyre
Owen found a rubber Jonny on the side of the road so decided to suck out the contents
The diesel incident
Cracking day Rob, Mel, Owen and Pete! Can't wait for the next
Someone else can do Mel's fuel next time

It was running by the time I'd got back to him! He done a combination of blowing and sucking so a passing mechanic sorted it for himmizzed wrote:mufynman wrote:He got 1/2 mile up the road , so was well mixed into the system by then
