i bought these last month

seem ok so far very comfy and so far water proof, i find them better than motorcross boots as they give you more movment.
what ever you buy try and get a size bigger than you are.
room for thick socks come the winter.

Re: new boots
Think most of us wear pads. Alpinestars tech 3 are very popular?

Re: new boots
Tech 3's are a very good boot, ive massive legs and can fit my pads inside the boot. ALWAYS WEAR KNEE PADS.. i came off Sunday, on some nice strata rock, around 30mph, hit the deck and it felt as if i had no pads on at all, but i did thank fuck..i can walk ok on it, but its gone purple and cannot touch the knee cap as it feels like someone putting a pin right through it, imagine what it would have been like without pads, bigger you are the harder you fall.

Re: new boots
I've got Alpinestars Tech 6, they are a good fit for people with 'man size' calves, i wear them with Asterisk knee braces + thick long socks and they fit perfect, very roomy around the top. My old Tech 8's were also a great fit. Forma TX's also fit very well if you have big legs.
