that overhang at the back is a mare for dave cooper style racks as the nose weight etc has to be taken into account, if i was starting again i would get an xlwb like mels and do that.
mine is ok but would prefer to have the bike in the back really but just not viable on mine.

Mel's is an awesome van, made max use of space, well thought out
