And looks like the one hub is screwed, the bearing keeps dropping out, and that's with a new skf.
Have heard of guys using this type of thing.... don't know how long it lasts tho.

Yonks ago before all this fancy glue stuff was about my mate used to use punch marks in his crank cases to help hold his mains in tight

Re: The KTM spindle swindle
You can shim bearings. Use a couple of old feeler gauges if you can't get hold of copper shim. Check bearing to hub gap with 1 thou feeler gauge. If the feeler gauge won't fit use 1thou copper shim. If it will fit you will need thicker shim or go round twice sort of thing...
Use your spindle to line up the bearings. You can use the spindle to knock the bearings home!
You've probably chiseled away the ally not getting the bearings square.
Put the bearings in sealed bag in coldest part of freezer over night.
Put hub in the hot-house over night.
One more thing. If the spacer tube is to short then the wheel won't turn properly when the nut is tight! Always check the wheels spin freely when you put them back in!
Hope that helps...

I impressed myself there. It's all from having bikes in the eighties. Haha

I think it was Chris Chips XR200 that was the first bike I saw with F@@ked hubs. Mind you he did sell Double Glassing at the time...
For those that can go that far back!

He got a Honda in the garage, it's good for nostalgia, and not much else ;p
