Belgian Newbie
A quick introduction:
I am a 45+ aged enduro fanatic with 30 years offroad experience at moderate level. (2 years of competition in my early years)
As an active member in both the Belgian BMW GS club and some local enduro groups I often guide people around in Belgium and Luxemburg.
Currently I am riding a Beta 300 RR and a Gas Gas 250 ECF when going more extreme offroad. For moderate offroad often my BMW 1200 GS is used.
I also like to do some trial (Gas Gas TXT 250 Pro) to spare my body from time to time
How I enjoy being outside on one of my 2-wheeled buddies?
There are some rules :
- Ask some friends to join the ride
- Enjoy the scenery whilst driving and show respect all the time
- Do not compete each other, teasing is allowed though
- Stop from time to time and taste the local food and liquids
Together with 2 friends we would like to do some LEGAL offroading in the Abergavenny surroundings on Friday June 3th(half day, afternoon) and on Saturday June 4th (full day).
As a Belgian TRF member, I was wondering if there are members who could join us on Saturday June 4th and perhaps show us the must do's in the neighbourhood?
So if there are mature people where the rules above apply, please let me know.
It would be great to have a ride with a small group of locals.
And if there is any interest in coming over to Belgian once, I would be honoured to show you guys around.
Looking forward to some positive response...
Nicolas

Re: Belgian Newbie
Hi Nicolas , welcome to the forum . Your rides sound very similar to ours
I'm sure we can help you out somehow , I should be free that date , but may have to confirm .
Some nice lanes around Abergavenny , all legal and quite varied .
I've been to Bruges a few times ( local foods & liquids , mostly liquids ) , you may find the beer a bit weak over here !! Which part of Belgium are you from ?

Welcome
Sure one of these fine gentlemen will be able to assit you with you visit to the UK. Make sure you bring your wet clothes as they love water / deep river crossings

Hi Mufynman,
Nice to hear that people are willing to help us.
I am from the rural region South from Brussels.
As we have been several times to England, Scotland and Wales our stomach already got used to the local beers and spirits, so that's one worry less

Hi and welcome
Last time a few of us rode from Abeavenny it went something like this
https://southwalestrailrider.forumotion.net/t5728-soggy-saturday
If it looks like your sort of thing, I might be able to help - but need to check not working first
Hopefully in June there would be less water, but it is Wales.............!

Got a proper busy week just before that, if I don't break a bone I may be able to join you.
