Do i really have to take the engine out to change a spark plug in the excf 350

Its 4" in the head with 2 1/2 gap from the frame

You should have had the proper socket in the tool kit viv. Grand prix in Pontardulais will have one probably

Ahh thats it, just spoke to the bloke i got this off he has got 9 ktm's and it seems i have the tool kit from his free ride

For memory it comes out better one side of the frame than the other , so if you struggle , try the other side . Chances are , you'll never need to look at it ( unless you go for ride with Wolfy , in which case you will )

Im just anal about servicing the bike.
On the ktm forum they said loosen it then shove a bit of pipe over it to get it out or tip the bike upside down, think i will use the pipe as i can't quite lift it upside down on my own.

Someone once told me that modern fuel injected bikes don't really need the plugs changed that often.
The fueling is always spot on so you don't get the problems with flooding like you do with a carb.
Ive done 250 hours and not taken it out yet.
