You'll need a circlip pliers to change wheel bearings.

Buy a bolt pack for your bike, if they are all different or odd sizes. They have the same size head usually 8 or 10mm but with different thread sizes. You can change most on the bike and only have the carry the one size socket/spanner for the job.

Limekiln Wood is legal and close to Tintern
Almost opposite the Abbey, through the pub/hotel car-park and straight up!

Re: Newbie in Tintern!
If youve got an OS Landranger map , there are 2 lanes in Tintern , one opposite the Abbey across the road as Shocker states which might be a bit of an eye opener , another one in Tintern further up the road near the Royal George ( turn in past it then look for a little driveway on left , its up there ) . you can piece a few more together from there , and some up in Whitebrook ( worse than Limekiln ! ) . If you can get to Redbrook , theres a nice steady lane that goes to Newland and then towards Scowles . If you are alone , the Redbrook lanes are very nice and pleasant . Limekiln and Whitebrook , I would approach with caution on your own , as there will be a lot of huffing and puffing

Thanks for the info (and the heads up!)
I'll have a stroll up the spicy ones with the Mrs tomorrow morning for an assessment before I go on the attack!
