First post and selling bike
Hi
This is my first post but after 2 years of owning a trail bike and joining the group, I think I prefer riding on the road. See the "for sale" section for info. I have been out a few times on my own but have realized that to do trail riding properly you do need to go out with other people. I'm getting a bit of ear-ache about the "useless white thing in the garage" which to be honest is a real hoot to ride but doesn't quite fit the "nice bike for a pillion" profile. The 1200 bandit is "uncomfortable" for a pillion so looking to a retro style W800 to fit into the garage, hence the sale of the Puzey. If you know anyone wanting a cheap starter bike please email me. Well maintained etc. etc.
Thanks
Alun

Alun, why are you riding by yourself & not joining in on the every weekend (or week nights) rides ?

True enough not only boring on your own but down right dangerous , you can't really make an opinion on trailriding until you've been on a few group rides and experienced the commeradary and banter ( dragging each other's bikes out of bottomless bogs and near vertical inclines and ripping the piss out each other when we fall off ) .....don't be too hasty in selling up
Just seen your ad on chewingumtree no wonder your not convinced on the dirt with them tyres buy some nobbly hoops and give it another go

Re: First post and selling bike
Thanks for you replys. I did a day out with Trailrides Wales in Llanidloes and thought it was brilliant. I have scanned the rides out on the group but I would probably be a pain in the arse, holding everyone up. The Puzey is a bit tall. I'm 5'7" with a short leg so don't ever feel in control off road. I have the preload set really low which probably doesn't do it any favours either. I also find it difficult to plan when I want/and able to ride. I thought I could use the Puzey for commuting to work instead of the 1200 Bandit and zip out on the weekend. I have ridden it back and for to work but it is too small and "invisible" to car drivers on the commute on the A470. I find the 1200 Bandit just has enough "presence" to be noticed and most commuters move over to let you pass (it is actually narrower that the trailbike). Perhaps I should get some decent tyres, saw some cheap AC10s from m&P are the ac10s any good?. Perhaps I should do a group run with tidy tyres, although I haven't got a clue how to ride offroad!

get a short seat for it, or have the 1 you got cut down, either or It worked for me, also the ride height may be too tall aswell, get you suspension sorted out if you already havnt, AC10's are ok, not great but ok.
