I started 0909 and finished at about 1330.  some are  still out there.  it was about 100k today but easy compared with tomorrow.   I hope its not much harder.  really difficult keeping concentrated for the last 20k.  mistakes could cost you dearly here.  lots of ravines nasty gullies to avoid.  but fab riding just relentless.   Thanks for update.

a few haven't made it back yet.  shaun benson from Pontypridd followed the pro gold route and ended up in a right pickle down an endless gully.  just made the fi nal check before he was time bared.  some lads from tyneside did the same and they only just got back.  started 7am.   I looked at wade youngs rear tyre at the finnish and it was completely bald in the middle.
