Welsh Two day 2015
Not many photos for obvious reasons, but will add words tomorrow
Off to sign on
If that came at you with a first aid kit best to just play dead!
The start next day (Denzil on the left) - nerves all gone now as too late, so distracted the opposition by talking at him
Out on the test possibly looking faster than I ever was
Denzil on the test
Me in the same place, but with a bloody marshal standing right on the best line
So headed for the shitty bit instead
Leading to the inevitable cock up
But soon up and off due to the 'bloody marshal' helping pick it up - Thanks Joss
Wolfy
Then Ray the photographer sloped off for lunch - but never mind he did photograph that instead
" />
Start of Day 2 and Denzil obviously pleased to hear my voice - again!

Uh !!! Those bloody marshals don't half stand in the wrong place eh!
I know you've already been asked but did you enjoy it, I think it's a brilliant event, except when it's wet
P.s. That guy with the first aid kit looks a little suss ?

Re: Welsh Two day 2015
Thought it was a fantastic event, and really enjoyed being 'a part of it all' as well as the actual riding
The open mountain blasts, the miles of bermed up single track, riding under the spooky windmills in the early morning mist, wobbling around the tests with people egging you on/taking the piss and wazzing through Llandod at the end with kids waving you in knowing you'd finished (they didn't know i was propping up the Sportsman class ) is all stuff I'll never forget
If anyone fancies it, do it i say!
If an old crock like me can, anyone can with the right attitude - but do realise a harder course or pissing down rain for the 2 days might have changed things a bit

Re: Welsh Two day 2015
Up early mainly due to still coughing up Saturdays dust
Loved the mousses - thanks for the kick up the arse on that front Mr Elvis
Hitting rocks and clattering over piles of spikey looking branches without worrying was good, then seeing a few cracking out the tyre levers only confirmed it was the right move!

Re: Welsh Two day 2015
Cracking pic's shocker & Ray
My Welsh started with a proper panic, loaded up the van to find my starter button not working
The thought of kick starting the 450 with my little legs was making me think I may have to pull the pin on it
I ended up driving straight to ET James, praying they could help me.
Got there at 8.45am on Tuesday, fairplay they were more than helpful & Jonathan had it apart before 9.00am
Sadly for me! to find the starter gear & torque converter was gone & they would have to order the parts, quoting " you may be lucky if it comes tomorrow afternoon but could be Thursday "
No choice but to leave the bike, I soon met up with denzil & sparks for brecy
Then on to find the mx test which took us a while due to denzil not listening to sparks or my directions (which were both different)
Quick fuel stop then onto the abbey test for a looky
Back to base camp then to find joss a bit flat too
Wednesday morning the guys got there bikes in parc ferme early while I just picked up me numbers
Then after telling shocker be best to have a little look at saint wells before he rides it, he couldn't get from there quick enough
Wednesday afternoon came & was time to ring ET James to hear the parts had come & will be ready in a couple of hours
Well happy !!! we picked up the bike & I got signed in with an hour to spare too!!! :bounce:
Nice to see you don't have to have the newest up to date kit even at the top level
Race day 1, fair to say they got this right shit was it dusty on the forest tracks
......."LOOK"....... I managed to get a pic of shocker with his mouth shut
Not that it lasted long tho!
Couple of pic's jul or joss took on day two.
Fantastic trip with the best company, enjoyed the riding & we were lucky with the weather
Big well done to sparks for keeping his head & nursing the bike to the finish on day two
Not sure why we had a 50 min wait at the check at church farm ? (good joby it wasn't raining) but turned out great talking to all the other riders in the sun
Big Thanks to the Welsh Two Day team, all the marshals & everyone involved it was awesome
