Rekluse clutch?
Considering Rekluse clutch for my CRF 250X due to a dodgy shoulder that now plays up by the end of a day and is quite buggered after two!
I know a few on here have got one, and wondered........
Why you fitted it, how it actually works, how it helps you, which type you've got, is it a bastard to fit, is it dependable and do you regret getting one??
Thanks

Re: Rekluse clutch?
Basically a centrifugal clutch like a Honda 90 however you can manually over ride, slip it to get the revs up, stops stalling don't even have to use the clutch if you don't want to. As said in other posts try before you buy, they can catch you out like starting the bike in gear then reving it Next outing try mine

Forgot to say the best one I had was the Z start Pro far more tuneable and wears like a normal clutch, got the latest and greatest EXP3.0 in my berg and its shit in comparison to the Z start pro, and when it wears out I need a new one

Re: Rekluse clutch?
the best bit for me about the recluse is you don't have to keep knocking it down into 2nd then back into 3rd every couple of seconds on a tricky lane, also means you don't have to ride the clutch either as it does it itself.
also pulling away on a tricky wet slab is a lot easier as you dont have to concentrate on the clutch control!
i will never go with out one now!

You can get a hydrolic clutch kit for the crfx. Much lighter pull!

Re: Rekluse clutch?
They seem a bit negative about bikes with a Rekluse fitted often calling it cheating and comparing them to C90s but Steve's words " this clutch is fucking awesome" came out when he rode my RM up a slippery section...
