These ones are actually made by cree which is the same as the lights we already have!
Need to come up with a bracket arrangement. Would I need to keep water of them or could I just hold the spotlights at the front as you would in the ceiling?

I think they'd need to be held a bit more secure than that otherwise they might shake out and smack you in the mush! you ideally need to keep the water off them too

Just had a look at the down lighters in the kitchen. The clips are not very strong or stiff are they Joe? I was just thinking of mounting them to an L shaped bracket with the correct diameter holes. And then just soldering the wire directly to the prongs. Keep it really simple...
