Rhayader weekend

A few pic's to get the ball rolling, as sure there are loads more knocking about  

Started from Rhayader with heavy looking sky's, but we seemed to dodge the worse of it most of the day
So finished the day with a deep crossing river (in the dark) just to make sure no one was still dry



Then a bit of a reoccurring theme started
Holed case for Dave - again!  



Drowned bike for Wolfy - again!  



Proof that even posh bikes can still get punctures





Cases replaced, oil changed, levers replaced, puncture's fixed, and loads of painkillers for bad heads later Sunday started dry and bright, and luckily stayed like it all day

Then got properly stitched up!
Was so chuffed when told we weren't going to do Strada due to time and high water, didn't hear that we were going to nip across 'that bog' instead
Several lie downs in the bottomless shit, and loads of heaving later we emerged the other side just as it was going dark





18 started Saturday and due to a variety of reasons including mechanical ones, sickness and good old fashioned jibbing only 9 finished on Sunday

There were also the usual comedy moments off the bikes too
Brownie being told at breakfast when he pushed the plunger on the coffee cafetere ''push it all you like mate, but it's instant - what the fuck do you expect for 25 quid a night!'' was a good example
Dane saying with a dead straight face ''I only like faggots it they're wrapped in parma ham'' another

As for the rest - what happens in Rhayader, stays in Rhayader - probably wisest

To be honest Mr Gates, he did more gates in one weekend that I've ever seen do!

Yer. Brill weekend again. Thanks again to Wolfy and Muffy for doing all the hard work. We were just able to enjoy it all.

Talking of what happens on tour and all that, can't wait to see the pictures of Mr Shock up to his balls in Pete...
