Ah I remember. The black mountain team was in a shocking state then. Have you been back with them since?
corinium is a lovely place to be on any Sunday. Watch out for the "foxwell". And dyed dbc have got the Caio in May which is good.

Re: 36th Corinium Enduro
thanks Wolfy, I think it's time I stuck to vets with you. It was a bit hectic up there to say the least!wolfy wrote:Them guys had to ride at a super fast pace for like 100+ miles
They probably got held up in traffic, not sure who it was but I held one guy up just trying to pull over
& was amazed how quick he disappeared
Big respect to Elvis with 3rd in the experts super human munn
Make an effort to do the Caio, it will be great practice before the Welsh. Look out if it's raining though as it does get boggy a bit.

I'm still in touch with Tamsin and Craig but don't think I've done a weekend since last summer. I remember you going well on that Husky considering you said you had not been riding that long. keep in touch

Re: 36th Corinium Enduro
My attempt at the Corinium:
Started off all together in Team "Last of the summer wine". Looking forward to a chin wag and a gossip at the end of the first check. Didn't happen. It was like a four and a half hour hair and hounds! No time at all to recover. All the checks, two per lap were very tight for everybody...
Bad arm pump half an hour into the first check turned into way not fit enough on the second lap. On the third and final lap it was pure survival... Felt like a bank manager trying to race! Trying to keep a trail riding pace was OK but needed somebody to follow to speed me up a bit...
But I finished! I Just had to finish and I did. All attempts at racing or drilling the special tests were out the window. I was 5mins down after the first lap but didn't have my reading glasses so could have gone into the checks early or late. By which time It was the least of my worries. They had a little laugh at the checks when I said I'd forgotten my reading glasses...
What a brilliant day...
Standing up so that must be lap two:
Probably stood up here when I saw the canera:
A quick splash of fuel and a drink of squash. God, would I of liked a coffee and five minutes off the bike! My old mucker Cricket coming over to pinch something or find something?
Yer yer. You knows talent when you sees it!
No crashes. No injures except for knee-pad friction blisters which stung a bit afterwards in the shower...
