Went out with Wolfy (The Man).
Oh yes , what a ride ! Five of us crack trail enthusiasts went along to meet Wolfy and Ryan The Rooster in a car park at Tesco's in Ebbw Vale . I first met Wolfy in North Wales quite a while back where we swapped numbers as he came across as a decent guy . A few weeks ago , I gave him a call explaining that a few of us would be riding in South Wales and would he mind showing us around on the Saturday ? He phoned back the next day to say The Man from Delmonte say Yes ! Game on and we started out playing in a quarry which had some pretty hairy climbs and drop offs ......
Ryan and Lennie (the loons) both got up this after a go or two . Good effort .
A water ride .
There were loads of these single track trails with cheeky little , sometimes not so little step ups , excellent .
Ollie doing The Walk of Shame through his own bikes smoke whist Lennie rides up the steps for him .
I seem to remember Kona shouting at his bike , again , here .
I dont know where we had been but we were getting near Monmouth by this part of the ride (and loving every minute) .
I took a pic of this trail as it had some three foot step ups but the pic came out a blur in all of my exitement . Lennie cleaned it first go but got cocky and had another go and it didn't go as well as the first success . I just cocked it up but was happy that I rode up . Wolfy took those that did not want to see what the fuss was all about to the top , on the road .
More awesome trails .....
Boulder Alley was a laugh .
but not too good for Kona when Lennie thought he needed cooling down with a mud pack that consisted of straw and stinking cow dung , nice .
That was Len's special way of showing you that he likes you Jon . Smelling good mate !
Ryan helps The Fat Controller pick up Thomas the Tank Engine .
That was the hottest that I have ever seen a 2T without pinching up .
and that's the end of the Wolfy ride . We covered about 120 miles and rode what seemed like one hundred trails . It has to be said that this ride is up there as one of the top ones . Once again , a big thanks to Wolfy for showing us around , and Ryan . It was great to see Tilts again on the trails . He and his 525 coped admirably . Good effort goes out to Jon (Kona 1) as he is fairly new to this . Ollie , you have no excuses mate as you have been doing this for a while now . Lennie (Three Cans) , you are special and it's always a good laugh when you are allowed out . As for me .......Let's do it again soon . Friday and Sunday ride report to follow .
