Yamaha wr 450 f 2011

Probably one for the captain , but any known problems with bike /motor?? Generally speaking think they are pretty much bomb proof , need to know the bhp of the bike and any basic tricks together power up ???

If its a import there a few mods you can do to up the power.
Cut the grey wire remove the emission tube you can buy a kit for for a couple of quid.
If its still fitted you,l see a steel tube bolted to the left side of the barrel but most have had this done by now.
Theres also a air box mod. if you do a quick search on thumper talk you,l find every thing you need to know.

Make sure its a 2011 model bike most are older models and registered with a newer plate.
But after 07 the bike specs havent realy changed.

One stupied thing with them you get a imported model the speedo does not recored the life time milage of the bike, But the uk models do.
Dont know how that works couse its the same clock on both bikes.

Regular oil and filter changes and make sure the sump bolts are tite
And there more or less bomb proof.
Think there around 50 bhp.

Simply put, yes. You're paying for the constant R&D KTM are doing. Whereas the Honda and
Pre 2012 WR have not evolved for years. That is why they are cheaper. Does it make them bad bikes? no. But they're not as good as the orange bikes,huskies or Bergs. This is all imho though. You pays your money you makes your choice.
