Ktm electric start not working

Ktm 300 2012 electric start not working, done the obvious charged battery and checked fuses and wires, all good, still nothing when the red buttons pressed, doesn't even make a noise.


Any ideas? Cheers

I have also done 110 hours on the original piston and haven't touched the engine at all from new apart from regular servicing.... Should I have this done? The bikes been ridden with the throttle wide open much of time. But runs fine still.

Its defo due a new piston and rings.

why dont you give mounter a ring about starter problem, im sure kenny will have some good advice, 01443 400960

Cheers elvis, I'll give him a bell. Seems to be a common problem from what I gather.

First two stroke so not really sure on when to do it, serviced it by the book. Will sort get the piston done asap then

its the poss the bendix moggs tanky already had to replace his mines on the way out also there is a mod for it to the bendix is about 60 notes fella...

Sounds like a known issue Id give Ktm uk a ring and mention a few friends have the same issue and get it sorted Foc at your local dealer...

2012 bike just should not have this problem!

Dont let people take you for a ride mate - In the meantime if you want to borrow the one thats been on my lawnmower for six years and still working perfectly your welcome...
