New Rider - Ross on Wye
Hi all ,
Just got a trail bike as a bit of Winter fun KLX250 . Bit of a newbie to offroading , done bits and bobs over the years but nothing serious , mostly just on road . Bought the KLX as they seem pretty cheap ( also pretty gutless ) , but plenty fast enough for my off road talent for now !! Any recommendations for some starter trails for me to try in my localish area ? Ross / Monmouth / Wye etc .

Hello, and welcome
If you're new to this caper i'd say best to start north of Hereford and around the Welsh Border's and even up into Shropshire is where you'll find more suitable but still good lanes.
Around Monmouth and the Wye Valley there's some exellent, but quite tricky (OK bloody hard) stuff
PM me if you fancy a sensible spin out over this way and beyond sometime - starting Leominster and looping around through Shropshire etc
Cheers

Hi all thanks for the welcome . Hopefully get out on some tame trails soon to see if the beast can pull the skin off the rice pudding ! Waiting for some cheap eBay gear to arrive (2nd try as 1st lot a tad large + I seemed to look like a dayglo puffy power ranger) . Maybe some mud will help !

I wouldent worry to much about it feeling flat. Once you get out there on the dirt its a different story.

Do you guys tend to put mx tyres on , or are trail type tyres like the ones that seems standard on the klx , ok for most outings ?
