Re: beacons rally
Never done this rally or A rally, did think about the cambrian one tho!.. once.
I am sure you know you will need FIM tyres at about 120 to 140 quid that will be dead when you get home & the entry fee like 60 ish per day.
Plus your normal all day trail ride & camping cost like.
Not knocking it tho!.... if it is what you want, or just somthing you always wanted to do, then go for it!.... will be worth every penny.

Re: beacons rally
It looks like there will be a spare slot going in the Powys Enduro on July the 1st (150mile lap etc) due to my dodgy back
More than a bit pissed off due to having paid the entry fee, bought a pair of FIM tyre's and paid for a hotel for the night before!
Probabaly sod all expense though compared to the bill i'm going to get for having an MRI scan etc done privately, due to the NHS being either too skint (all that heroin substute shit they dish out down the local pharmacy to buggers i doubt have ever paid much tax or NI can't be cheap ) or maybe they can't to be arsed to help someone they consider past thier sell by date!!
But rant over and to keep on topic - there will be a spare place going
I have a cunning plan - buy my entry off me (cheap) ride under my name, win the class, (shouldn't be too hard to convince 'em you're an 'over 50') and i get the glory without the pain

Re: beacons rally
Shep rally's are slightly different to enduro's, normally slightly easier going but much faster, I think they where invented to accomadate big trail bikes but if you like being up to your elbows in mud and rutts have a go at an enduro much more funShepy aka THE DUKE wrote:anyone done this or doing it fancy having a go might only do the one day but am tempted to do both. never entered nothing before so whats it like for a virgin cherry...
