Overheating Empty Overheating

Post by simon Mon Sep 19, 2016 10:21 pm

Got a beta 300 evo that's started to overheat after a couple of hundred yards and spits coolant . I know the water pumps are prone to melting on these but just taken it off and its fine, the fan is ok as well. it was fine the last time I used it, but it was a real pig to get started this time and it hangs on to the revs when the throttle is off, like when a 2t is running out of fuel..... any ideas?

The 1st thing I would do if it's got a thermostat is take it out then check all the coolant hoses for kinks

Then I would recheck the water pump just in case the driving gear isn't broken behind the impeller apart from that it's the head gasket would need to be inspected
