The famous five do a recce

So it was hush hush - top secret, and i got a PM saying "if you want to come on the recce your invited"

well i felt privileged to be asked and shocked the missus gave me the go ahead ..

for a moment i thought i was being set up for some sort of "leave your biker husband" TV show

so i got there late friday - a few burnt sausages lying around and a few empty beer cans - so i cracked open the stella and got them all on it

the plan was to make them weak for the morning -
muff knocked me up in the morning at stupid o'clock with a cup of coffee - that was not for me !!

we left the site - me on the back wheel

and we did around 140 miles - about 30 u turns and about 500 gates ...
i got back to the site with a toothless sprocket and a lost bashplate - so i talked them all into drinking copious amounts and calling the 2nd part of the recce off

happy days - we got mashed

What's with the secret rides ,infertion only you getting as bad as sparks pick who he wants to ride with ,texts only

maybe i worded that wrong cricket my old china - it was just a low numbers recce for the forthcoming epic camping trip ... and put together last minute

Recce rides can be a battle sometimes...riding into the unknown, not knowing if the lane is blocked or rideable even.
So totally understand why joe kept the group small.....hence five riders "Jibbed"   & couldn't ride day two.
It would have been even harder if the group was bigger....I would have done the same.

Sorry LADS for spouting off , you all done a great job I now how hard a recce ride can be,if wasn't for you lads your 3 day wouldn't go on.great vid spencer

Tell you the truth I was surprised to be invited along , what with my smoke breaks, chat breaks, scenery looking breaks, and falling off rolling down the hill breaks - I think they just wanted a court jester to entertain and cook in the evenings really !
