I think it was BMW who wanted to get out of the offroad market but couldn't find a buyer. Everybody had there own bikes.

KTM were clever as they obtained the Huskvarna name and killed of some of the competition at the same time. Bit of a twat for any new Husaberg owners mind.

Sold the engine in the end to GasGas for a few pennies I believe... affraid
