Cambrian Rally 19th October
I've just bit the bullet and entered this [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (i'm just doing the sunday)
I'm pretty useless but figured theres only one way to learn. It sounds like it shouldn't be to hard going, has anybody else entered it or done it before ?

Never done it , but they are well run events in some lovely areas , so I'm sure you will have a great time . I did their Snowrun enduro in Feb which was hard , but i just rode to my ability , ie very slow , and really enjoyed it . I'm sure the Rally will be more open trails etc rather than mud pits and root infested forest !! Enjoy !

Rally's aren't normally hard Trigg but they are fast, so enjoy it but be careful and try not to get pulled along by somebody who's faster than your abilities. I've seen some spiffing pile ups on forestry roads.

Re: Cambrian Rally 19th October
Did it last year, and as been said nothing hard on the route, but by the 6th lap of almost 30 miles (did both days) including Strada in the pissing down rain it did get a bit wearing
Really good fun, just not sure it was great value for money though with so much of it on rights of way etc that you could arguably do for nothing
If I did anything like it again would gear the bike up a fair bit due to the easyish course and bloody long forest tracks and also start with shagged tyres rather than new ones!
Have fun :bounce:

You're not wrong!
Watching big rally bikes drift past you on opposite lock at very high speed was scary at first, then funny when one disappeared over the edge and parked it half way up a Christmas tree
Then when so many did the same thing that they ran out of ambulances (including the air ambulance) realised how dangerous it could all be

Just make sure you turn up on the 18th, not the 19th
A few of us from Swansea have entered, first time for a couple of us but hey ho - it will be a larf I'm sure!
