Re: Mousse Changer
Muff, get an old tube cut the valve out and put in the rim, you can use it then to help blow the tyre onto the rim.

I know there are rumours about you looking at arses and me telling you to make sure you use plenty of lube is just gonna ignite the fire of piss taking so i wont say it

Re: Mousse Changer
Never really fancied the hassle or expense of mousses, but watching that makes it a very definite NO!

Re: Mousse Changer
Yes I did make a bit of a dogs dinner of it . No Bib-up made things a bit of a struggle , plus a new set of funny levers that I was probably using the wrong way round . Next time I'll take Kirkys advice and wipe some lube round me rim before starting , then take my time

Mufy, I wouldn't waste the grease on the rim, I'd keep it for the mousse itself it's to expensive, use WD40 on the rim.

Re: Mousse Changer
Cricket has always helped/done mousse's for me when needed, but noticed if you push down on the top of the tyre the bottom will open up making it easyer to fit the mousse in the tyre before you get to the rim bit which was then over my head
Be careful on the test ride you may find the front a bit sketchy

Watched a few Rabaconda vids last night - looks so easy - and I was doing it all wrong , trying to fit it like you would a tube tyre on the trail . Sort of explains why the bloke sold me 5 levers . I reckon I may have a better chance next time , and i'll be wearing a pair of gloves and a hard hat

Ai don't put lube on the rim as it may cause the tyre to slip too, as xbb said lashings of wd40 on the tyre bead and it's piss easy
