Saturdays' Ride.

Last Saturday was the day of Wiltshire TRF’s Wessex Wanderer annual ride.

At short notice I was offered a chance to join the progressive group, with a planned 150 mile route.
So, after a few hours prepping the bike Friday evening it was an early start to meet up with Mike to head down to Devizes.
We arrived at The Three Magpies pub, for the start of the ride.

Here’s Andy(Longman), our ride leader. Andy always manages to put a good ride together. Top man.

Not far into the first lane the Husky had issues with it’s rear brake!

Andy’s route took us near his family’s farm, where they hold a round of the Midwest Enduro. So we had little play!

















After around 150 miles, and 9 hours riding we get back to base.
From left to Right;
Chris, WR 250, from oop North. Andy, KTM 300, from Bristol. Mike, Husky 510, from Reading. Mike, KTM 690, from Basingstoke. Mike, YZ 250, from Pontypridd, And of course, I was there too!

Great bunch of boys, great weather and some lovely lanes which all made for a fantastic day out.

Looks like a good mix of lanes . Did anyone have a gpx file of that area's lanes? , we were palnning on doing Wiltshire area this Sunday . Anyone suggest a good starting point ( we were thinking Barbury Castle , nr Ridgeway)

Think about 60 bikes in all, split into 9 or 10 groups, all different routes.

Get well soon bud. Only just getting over my bout of man flu after 5 weeks!!
