Lancashire Jolly .
Six of us met up in Caton , Lancs for a bimble with Switchblade . We met at a car park that even had a cafe and a bog (Lee was made up about the bog ;D) .
It turned out that I had forgotten my boots but lucky for me Steve (Switchblade) had a spare pair . I was having visions of me in my nice white trainers all day . Thanks , Steve .
A couple of lanes in and Orangestig (Mark) was so exited , he decided to make love to his bike .

He even gave it a "blow" .

Turned out that it had been running "mellow" (not my words) and it was a slightly blocked fuel filter to blame . Kona (Jon) liked the word , mellow .
Off we go ......
Nice sharps bag Phil 8-) . It must be a Phil thing as Invisible Phil has one too .
Mmmm , Bogs .
Lee having a little struggle , picture taken by me , also having a little struggle .....
Jon thought he would try a different approach but ran away from his bike when it did not happen .
Made it .
The next part of this trail , you REALLY needed to stay on the trail as there were some massive and very deep holes where cavers like to play . Not too good on a dirt bike though . You could not see the bottom but you could here a lot of water rushing along .
Nice too see the rope was all good then Mark . :o
Time for a spot of lunch . I shared a Hunters pie with Kona . Never had one of these bad boys . It consisted of pork on the bottom , a
bit of jelly then diced chicken breast , topped with stuffing with bread crumbs on top . All in a nice pastry case .
Onward and upwards .
Ride leader and top bloke , Switchblade .
We got to this river crossing but we all agreed to give it a miss as none of us could be arsed to deal with drowned bikes owing to the time of day .
Instead , we opted to ride over a narrow bridge with a six foot drop into very bike drowning water . All I will say is I am glad it wasn't a windy day .
Next stop , Steve knows the folk who own this place and there are a few cracking loops here .......
I had just missed Jon having a little lie down in a stream just seconds before this pic .
My bike loves forests .
One of them funky tree root along the trail jobby's .
The view of the bay to Barrow .
I was riding when I got the camera out for this one and the trail was really dusty , it's a pity the pic does not show it as my eyes were really bad for a while .
Once again , another top rideout with top folk who juss wanna raad . Thank you Steve . Enjoy the IOM when you go and I will see you soon . If anyone wants to expand on their knowledge of Lancashire or Cumbria , then get in touch with Steve as he is on it . Cheers .

Re: Lancashire Jolly .
Thanks . On the way up to the IOM a couple of weeks back , I thought to myself , "I wonder what those mountains are like ?" I now know . There is also a twenty mile trail that takes you across to Yorkshire enabling a coast to coast run . There are some really good lanes in Yorkshire as well . There is one particular place just up the road from Scarborough . The locals call it The Good , The Bad and The Ugly . I challenge the worlds best to take on The Ugly . Here's a couple of old Yorkshire pics ........
