Saturday 27th's 'sensible' ride
Met up with Dean, Steve, Geraint, 'Bryn', Wolfy and new face 'Antsx' (welcome along mate) at the Bus Station for a 'sensible' days riding
Then the first lane was blocked by a sodding great tree that we had to drag the bike's under -it looks like Ant rode his under though!
What we didn't realize was that the same thing was going to happen all day!
Then did some 'normal' lanes between Aber and Raglan
With the odd fag/YZ maintaince break along the way!
Team 'Old Holburn'!!?
If smoking makes you look that happy, i might start - just look at Dean's face
Geraint then had his customary puncture, but as it was at exactly the same spot as last time begining to think he's planted a nail there just to get an extra fag break in!
Especially good if you can get someone else to fix it
The lane's then started to get a bit trickier from here on
Dean still found time for a little lie down though!
Always time for another fag break though 'eh Geraint
Then things started to get really silly, firstly on a lane i can't remember the name of but i'll always think of it as 'what-a-stupid-place-to take-a-motorcycle-and-i-ain't-ever-coming-back-here' lane' but don't think that name will ever catch on!
First we were met with this!
Then loads of other shit, but got no photo's as it's quite difficult to take 'em when you're on your arse pinned underneath a bike - but sure plenty will appear here soon if the number of cameras pointing at me when i peered out from under the CRF are anything to go by
We then went looking for lunch and fuel (top tip - don't bother going to the petrol station on the duel carriage way near Raglan - it's closed down!)
So had to go to Monmouth, but it was well worth it just to see Steve's face when he realised he was going to be 'arse raped' as he put it by having to ride a low geared MX bike with a (hopefully ) rock hard seat down all the way down the duel carriage
But after being assulted by his 'curry arse' all morning, it did seem a fitting revenge
The little CRF took more fuel than the 450's and two strokes which i thought was odd, until someone (rightly) pointed out it was probabaly because it had been upsidedown pissing petrol out for most of the morning
Refreshed and ready for anything we headed for London Road - which we weren't ready for at all really!
Another bastard is all i'm saying!!
Then things got a bit more sensible
Until it started to go dark
So headed back to Aber in time for a cuppa and were treated to the added entertainment of watching a bus driver crunching the side of his bus not just once, but twice on the same bit of wall!!
Thanks all for everything - the local knowledge, the help with every thing from puncture's to lifting the bike off me, but most of all the fun
I've neither fallen off, or laughed as much for a long time!

ditto regarding the help
might have to skirt round the lane where i seem to get a puncture every time
have'nt ached so much for a long time from laughing and falling off
especially enjoyed gary's reaction to wolfys riding skills around the hay bale

We must have different views on "Sensible Run" then
Looked a good full day out, you must have worked the troops hard, plenty of quick lie downs too.
Nice pics

Re: Saturday 27th's 'sensible' ride
Looked another good'un guys.
Sorry, but I did mean to mention that tree was down, in the lane opposite Hockeys. Was there a few months ago but was sure it would have been cleared what with the local TRF being so on the ball!! :o
The lane with the silage bale had another bale at the start of it a while ago, but everyone manages to get round it. Looks like the farmer has had another go at blocking it. Glad it's possible to get passed it.
Perhaps the TRF will pull their finger out and get that one cleared for the winter
