For laugh-ability i,d use trail tyres Laughing Practicability i,d use mx/enduro tyres.
Depends also if your going to be using the bike on the road much to.

hello back to those who have messaged ! I'm assuming that as I don't look like jesus , Bancok has borrowed that pic ? I actually took the KLX up the woods for a spin , and indeed , much hilarity ensued with said trail tyres on muddy slopes ! . sweating like a pig in my boy scouts pvc rain coat . Having ridden road bikes for so long , I've forgotten you actually sweat a bit off road !!

yeah its a 2009 one , so only electric start . its the fuel injected one , so seems pretty reliable so far . Paid £2k for it , its only done 1000 miles , and most of those on the road by looks of it . Still on original tyres but came with a set of mx ones too . It's geared down too , and got a full gpr exhaust with some sort of power commander gadget on it , so previous owner spent a bit on modding it up despite never using it ! In the old days i could look at an engine and it was quite easy to tell what was what ( carb - airbox - etc ) . These days there are just wires and tubes !!
