Rear tyre reccomendations
I know this subject has been done to death, but WTF
I usually use Mitas CO2 but am fancying a change got to be road legal, won't be competing so not FIm approved and doesn't wear out in a month.
What's a good choice?

Try the Maxxis road legal tyres, there's loads on here who like 'em, me included.
They look more like an aggressive trail tyre, with the knobs spaced close together. The grip isn't in the same leagueas an mx tyre, but they wear well, especially if you are doing bits of road work.
I had vee rubber before, which lasted 2 afternoons & ac10's before them, which I llke, but wore down quickly but gave good grip. Also they are over $100 a pair which to me is too much for recreational use

Depends what you using the bike for and the way you ride. For events.. S12 but wear quick on road. ac10 are pretty good.. Again.. Wear quickly. For a long lasting tyre, the mitas is good, ideal for mountain rides and are well priced. Metezeler six days extreme... Expensive and wear very quickly. Just put a mitas on my trail set of wheels, cheap, long lasting and pretty grippy, happy days.

Maxxis seem to have upped the game over ac10 as a good allrounder michelin so ggood tho if you got as much cash as cavey...

S12 not MOt friendly John, but as long as I can afford them, I won't use anything else on the rear.
